What is efoiling?

An efoil is a surfboard with an electrical powered propeller. That allows you to fly about 80 cms above the water on a hydro foil wing. Our efoil boards are powered by a silent electrical motor with a rechargeable battery. You control the fliteboard by a handheld wireless remote that is connected to the board via Bluetooth. No need to paddle or kick your legs to keep the board in motion. All you have to do is find your balance and enjoy the ride. Before you know it, you'll be flying over beautiful Colombian waters.

How safe are Fliteboards?

Extremely! Check out the video below to see just some of the technology designed around your safety. Fliteboarding is an incredibly intuitive, safe and fun sport.

Can I book a session without any experience?

Definitely! Efoiling is for anyone above the age of 12. You're more than welcome to book a session, no matter your level of experience. Our instructors will guide you step by step. Also, our Flitescooter is the easiest way to discover efoil. You will fly in minutes!

What should I bring to my e-foiling session?

All you have to bring is a towel, sunscreen and a bathing suit. If you would like to take pictures or videos, bring your phone or camera, too. And a little bit of attitude and aventure!

What's included in my session?

Your best experience ever, a qualified instructor, one or few fliteboards (depending on your booking), insurance, a helmet and an impact vest. Few pictures of you flying, and a lot of memories!

How to get to Sofitel Calablanca?

Sofitel Calablanca is located in Isla Barú – Cartagena. A luxury and environmentally conscious caribbean hotel with a beautiful white sand beach.

By land, the journey from Cartagena to the hotel takes approximately 1 hour.

Only accessible for visitors and clients of the hotel or the residences. You can also come in your own boat and we deliver the experience in the sea just in front of the hotel.

How to get to Aura Baru Hotel?

Aura Baru Hotel is a hotel and beach club located in the Cholon swamp, on the island of Baru. If your hotel is in the Baru area, that is the perfect location for your experience.

By land, the journey from Cartagena to Aura Hotel Barú takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
After the entrance to Playa Blanca, the paved road ends and a new road begins for the passage of vehicles.

Don’t worry, if needed we organize everything for you! Transport to Aura Baru will be at your own expense.

With how many people can I book a session?

You can book from 1 to 4 people. When you book for more than 1 person, you have the option to book an extra board. You can also bring extra people on the spot that won't be efoiling, with a maximum group size of 4. However, the transport will be at their own expense.

How long is a session?

Depending on the package you choose, your session will be 30mn to 1 hour in the water. If you want to spend more time efoiling, you can always book an extra hour.

Can I buy my own fliteboard?

Yes, you can! We are the official reseller for Colombia of all the different types of fliteboards. We ship to whole Colombia. Your Fliteboard will be delivered within 7 working days. When you are a buyer in Colombia, know that we are the only authorized reseller in the country with its own service center. So, no hassle with sending your board abroad, we will just do the maintenance right here . Check out our models right here. and come to try one of them!

Do I have to go 45kmph to efoil?

No. In fact, efoiling is entirely possible and much more fun at slower speeds. Generally, efoiling occurs at around 15-20 km/h. Our instructor is with you every step of the way and you can find your own comfortable speed.

What if I am not the best swimmer?

Our instructor is with you every step of the way. Life jackets are provided. Fliteboards are also very buoyant and are easily used as a flotation device when stationary.

What if the weather is terrible?

At the instructors discretion, a reschedule of your Flite session will be offered due to bad weather. A member of our customer service team will be in touch to arrange a more suitable day and time.

Will I foil on my first lesson?

Our instructors’ goal is to get you foiling on your first Fliteschool experience. With the Flitescooter is easier, questions of minutes!

How Long Does it Take to Learn How to Foil?

Generally, riders are normally foiling within the first 10-15 minutes.

At What Speed Can I Start Foiling?

You only need to be planing (board on the water) at a speed of between 15-20 kph to start foiling.

FIRST AID & CPR

Our instructors are trained and qualified in First Aid & CPR at the highest level. In the unlikely event of an accident our staff are fully trained for your safety.

FULL SAFETY BRIEFING

A comprehensive 15 minute safety briefing will be conducted before EVERY flite session to ensure the safety of all riders.

SPEED LIMIT FUNCTIONALITY

Our boards are capable of being “speed” limited. If the instructor deems it necessary, speed limits will be placed on the boards for inexperienced riders.
